The Idea:
We are adapting The Game of Life into a live action, story-driven game exploring the female experience. The original board game is the jumping off point, but there will be some major twists.
The Event:
This will be a hackathon-style day to get this idea up on its feet and test it. The Creative Team is going to collaboratively develop the content in the course of a 4-hour design lab session, then we'll have the playtesters come and try it out that same evening!
There are three different ways you can participate:
Player: You will get to play the game as a character making decisions, facing challenges, and navigating your way through femLIFE. We're limiting it to 10 "Player" tickets, so don't hesitate if you want to be one of them!
Squad: Just because you're not officially a player, doesn't mean you won't play a role. The squad will support the players in making decisions, serve as the jury for important decisions, and maybe even jump in on some group challenges!
The Creative Team: We are looking to build a diverse team of game and experience designers, writers, activists, creators and innovators to bring this idea to life! We want to make sure the team is dominantly female-identifying, but that does NOT mean no boys allowed. Men and non-binary individuals are encouraged to apply! To be considered for the Creative Team you MUST apply by filling out this form. Once we review the applications, creative team members will receive a special code to unlock those tickets. To ensure you'll be able to participate in some way, you may purchase a player or squad ticket while you're waiting to hear back. If you make the Creative Team, we'll be happy to transfer the cost of your previous ticket.

Dinner Break (Creative Team only): 4pm-5pm
Playtest (Players & Squad members join): 5pm-8pm
